FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
James Otto Also Performing at LeAnn Rimes Concert in Wausau
(Wausau, WI) A country singer and songwriter with a southern
rock heart and the number 3 hit in the nation this week, James
Otto, will take the stage just before headliner LeAnn Rimes
makes her first concert appearance in Wausau, Wisconsin at The
Amphitheater in Marathon Park on Saturday, June 28. Kinzie
Benefit Concerts, LLC, just finalized a contract with Otto
today.
Otto’s popular current hit, “Just Got Started Lovin You” has
been on the country music charts for 26 weeks. Last week, it was
number 4. His current album, “Sunset Man” produced by his
brother-in-law Jay DeMarcus (of Rascal Flatts), is currently the
second best-selling Country Record in the nation and the number
3 best selling album across all music genres.
Otto will take the stage at 7:15 p.m.
Rimes is scheduled to perform at 8:45 p.m. A third artist, yet
to be announced, will open the event at 6 p.m. Gates open at
5:00 p.m. Hot food and beverages will be available from local
vendors all night. Advance tickets may be ordered over the phone
or picked up at the Performing Arts Foundation in Wausau. The
Kinzie Benefit Concerts’ website,
www.kbconcerts.com is handling
online ticket orders.
“John Rich of the country duo, Big and Rich, calls James Otto
the biggest voice in country music,” said Kirk Howard, manager
of Kinzie Benefit Concerts, LLC. “Many people would say the same
thing about LeAnn Rimes’ phenomenal voice, so it’s going to be
one amazing summer night in Wausau.”
Howard said advance ticket sales are doing very well considering
the concert is still over two months away, but organizers are
hoping eventually to fill all 6,500 reserved seats in The
Amphitheater. “We want to be able to make a substantial
contribution to The Children’s Miracle Network, and the more
seats we sell, the bigger that contribution can be. With a huge
turnout, we can also demonstrate to top level national artists
and their agents that The Amphitheater at Marathon Park in
Wausau is a premium outdoor venue and a must-stop on their
summer tours.”
Howard says many area companies have been eager to sponsor the
event. Major sponsors to date include Ministry Health Care,
Marshfield Clinic, Kinziegreen Marketing Group, North Star
Casino, Associated Bank, Wausau Insurance and Miller Lite. Most
country music radio stations throughout central and northern
Wisconsin are also sponsoring or supporting the event.
