LeAnn Rimes to Perform in Wausau June 28

 

(Wausau, WI) Kinzie Benefit Concerts, LLC, which produced two summer concerts featuring national artists in 2006 at The Amphitheater in Marathon Park in Wausau, will present two-time Grammy award winning artist LeAnn Rimes on Saturday, June 28, 2008. All 6,500 seats are reserved. Advance tickets go on sale Monday, February 18, at the Performing Arts Foundation on Artsblock in Wausau, 401 N. 4th Street (1.888.239.0421) and online at www.kbconcerts.com. All seats are $38 advance, $48 at the gate. Music begins at 6:00 p.m. with two additional national and regional bands to be announced. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Children's Miracle Network.

Rimes won the first "Best New Artist" Grammy ever awarded to a country artist. She has sold more than 37 million records, won an American Music Award, three Academy of Country Music honors and 12 Billboard Awards. She has scored numerous hit singles including "Can't Fight the Moonlight," which was a No. 1 song in 11 countries and "How Do I Live," the longest running single ever on the Billboard Hot 100, spending a record 69 weeks on the chart. Her latest album, "Family," was released last October and every song was written or co-written by the versatile, talented young artist.

Kinzie Benefit Concerts, LLC organizes, promotes and produces live outdoor concerts at The Amphitheater in Marathon Park. Previous events have included Sara Evans, Radney Foster, Jesse Alexander, Better than Ezra, Violent Femmes and Carbon Leaf. A portion of the proceeds from past concerts have been donated to Habitat for Humanity and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Several other civic groups benefit from sales of concessions.
